Frida dolls
Frida Kahlo is one of my strongest inspirations! Not only as an artist but also as a woman. Her passion for life and her strong will to never give up and keep loving and living in spite of all her tragedies is remarkable. I share with her the love for our Mexico and the infinite beauty within our culture. Frida loved mexican iconography, she loved flowers and plants, she loved bleeding hearts and ex-votos, embroideries, songs and love letters, she loved life, she loved deeply, she loved life!!! She used all the beatuy around her to colour her tragedies and sorrows; I find that inspiring! We should always colour our tragedies as she did and never give up! Never!
My Frida dolls are an hommage to her, to this wonderful woman who keeps inspiring so many all over the world. Viva la Frida, la Frida de mi corazón!
